this interactive workshop. We will review basic principles of mystery
writing, examine how we learn about places, history, and people from
the bestselling mysteries of such writers as Tony Hillerman,
Trevanian, Geraldine Brooks, and others, and then critique a page or two of our
own that we will write in class.
